A 'blimp' in Geneva!

The first job of the weekend was to complete an early airport transfer from Châtel to Geneva. I was actually quite pleased it was a 6:15am departure because the road from Châtel to Thonon can get quite busy on change over day and this weekend, due to the end of several european countries school holidays, it was possibly going to be worse!

On good days airport transfers between
Châtel and Geneva take between 1 and a half to 2 hours - and I am pleased to say this came in at 2 hours - and the returning group were happy to arrive at the airport in good time for their Geneva to Bournemouth Easyjet flight.

After a quick trip to the new Starbucks
at the Geneva Airport terminal to get myself a well deserved Grande Mocha, I set off on my return and headed down towards Lac Leman and the bridge to get on the route towards Evian, and my final destination of Châtel.

It was here I came across the 'blimp' - hovering not more than a few hundred feet above the heavily managed trees that line the sides of Lac Leman. It appeared as if it were heading across Lac Leman itself, but as I drew underneath it made a turn and headed back across the city of Geneva it had come from...
